Deletion of TOR or SCH9 increase life span additively with deletion of FOB1 but not with dietary restriction. These data support the model that TOR, SCH9 and dietary restriction act in a single pathway that is distinct from the pathway that FOB1 acts in. Deletion of FOB1 is believed to increase replicative life span by reducing the accumulation of extrachromosomal rDNA circles (ERCs) in the mother cell [10207108]. |
